How to use Dice Roller

Pick one or more dice from the selector rail (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, d100).
Tap a modifier chip — Advantage, Disadvantage, or 4d6-drop-lowest — if your situation calls for one.
Press INITIALIZE ROLL SEQUENCE (or hit space) to roll. The Result numeral flashes in purple for a critical hit, dims to red for a critical miss.
Scroll the Telemetry rail on the right to see every roll in this session, with flagged criticals and a running aggregate.

02 · The honest pitch

Why Dice Roller?

Most online dice rollers feel like a form submit. The Dice Roller treats a d20 like an instrument — a proper 3D render with cyan pip inlays, a HUD that shows what just happened and why, and a session log you can scroll to audit your luck. Cryptographic randomness (window.crypto.getRandomValues) means the rolls are as fair as fair gets on the web.

Frequently asked questions

Is the randomness actually fair?

Yes. Each roll comes from window.crypto.getRandomValues(), the same randomness source browsers use for encryption. A 32-bit random value is scaled to the die, which leaves a bias smaller than 1 in 40 million even on a d100, far too small to show up in any number of rolls you could make. Roll a thousand d20s and the counts will look like a fair physical die, within ordinary statistical noise.
