What Cipher is for.
Cipher is for the text around your content that search engines and AI answer engines read first: title tags, meta descriptions, schema markup, alt text, and FAQ sections. Five tools draft that text for you. The sixth, the GEO Checker, scores a draft on how easy it is for an AI system to quote.
These tools work differently from the rest of InstantTools. Most of the site processes your files in the browser. Cipher sends what you submit, text or an image, through our server to a cloud AI model run by our AI provider, then shows you the model’s answer. The content is not stored. An automated bot check runs before requests go through. Don’t submit anything you wouldn’t send to an outside service.
Treat every result as a first draft. AI models can get facts wrong, describe things that aren’t in an image, or write schema that doesn’t match your page. Read every line, test schema in Google’s Rich Results Test, and edit the copy into your own voice before it goes live.
Which tool to open
Questions people ask.
Are the Cipher tools private?
Not the way the rest of InstantTools is. Your input goes to a cloud AI model to produce the result. It is not stored, but it does leave your device. For text you can’t share, write the metadata by hand or use a tool that runs locally.
How long should a title tag and meta description be?
Google usually shows about 50 to 60 characters of a title and about 145 to 160 characters of a description before it cuts them off. The real limit is pixel width, so a line full of wide letters gets cut sooner. Put the words that count first.
Does schema markup improve rankings?
Not directly. Schema helps search engines understand a page and can make it eligible for rich results, like product ratings or recipe cards. Google decides whether to show them. Schema that is invalid or doesn’t match the visible page gets ignored, so test it before you publish.
What is GEO?
Generative engine optimization: writing pages so AI answer engines, like Google’s AI Overviews and Perplexity, can find and quote them. In practice it overlaps with good writing. Answer the question early, cite sources, use clear headings, and define your terms. A high GEO Checker score is not a promise that any engine will cite you.
Is AI-written alt text good enough?
It is a start. A model describes what it sees, but it doesn’t know why the image is on your page. Add that context yourself: the product name, what the chart shows, who is in the photo. Purely decorative images should get an empty alt attribute instead.
