A TinyWow alternative that never uploads your files
TinyWow offers hundreds of free tools with no signup — a genuinely useful site. Like most tool sites, it works by uploading your file to its servers. InstantTools takes the other path: fewer, deeper tools that run entirely in your browser.
Where your file goes
TinyWow processes files server-side and states that uploads are deleted automatically after a short window. It is free and signup-less, supported by ads and a paid tier that removes them.
InstantTools is also free and signup-less — but the processing engines (PDF, image, audio, OCR, AI models) execute on your device via WebAssembly. For sensitive documents the difference matters: there is no server copy to delete because no copy is ever made.
The same jobs, done locally
Honest questions
TinyWow has more tools — why switch?
If the job involves a file you would not email to a stranger, local processing is the safer default. For everything else, use whichever site does the job best.
Are InstantTools' AI tools also local?
The file-based ones (background removal, transcription, OCR, upscaling) run on-device. A small set of text-generation tools call cloud AI and are labeled as such on the tool itself.
Verify it yourself
Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use any InstantTools file tool. After the page and its engine load, you will see no request carrying your file. That check takes thirty seconds and beats any privacy policy.
